BuyOrNot ("we") operates this website from Singapore. Contact our Data Protection Officer at [privacy@your-domain] with any question or request about your personal data.
What we collect
• Account data: your display name, and (once real sign-in is enabled) your email address or social login ID. • Content you post: product photos, titles, prices, links, reasons, votes and comments. • Technical data: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, a language cookie, and standard server logs (IP address, browser type) kept for security.
Why we use it
To run the service (show your posts and votes), keep it safe (prevent spam, vote manipulation and abuse, review reports), and improve it. We do not sell your personal data.
What is public
Your display name, posts, votes and reasons are visible to everyone. Do not include personal information (yours or anyone else's) in photos or text.
Sharing
We use service providers for hosting, database and image storage, who process data on our behalf. Data may be stored or processed outside your country; where required we put appropriate safeguards in place. We disclose data to authorities only when legally required.
Retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your posts or account at any time; when an account is deleted we remove or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by contacting us. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Applicable law
We comply with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). Users in other countries may have additional rights under local law (for example Malaysia PDPA, Thailand PDPA, Indonesia PDP Law, Vietnam Decree 13/2023, Japan APPI, Korea PIPA, Taiwan PDPA, China PIPL, India DPDP Act).
Children
The service is not intended for children under 13. If you are under the age of majority in your country, use it with a parent's or guardian's permission.
